Life

My name is Reese Dalley, I have lived majority of my life in Kaysville Utah. But for a couple of years I lived in St. George. I have six siblings, Drew, Maya, Micah, Carter, Mason, and Parker. We all play comp soccer except for the two youngest Mason and Parker. But they probably will in the near future. I have played soccer since I was six or five, and I play for a club called Surf. I play on a team with seniors, and juniors, so I’m the youngest on the team. I love to be outside whenever I can, especially in the fall. Me and my family love to go on bike rides, and go hiking.

Favorites

My favorite sport is soccer, it’s fun to watch and play. I love going to RSL games with my family, and friends. My favorite TV show is friends, and my favorite movie is Spider-man Homecoming. My favorite thing to do in the summer is to go boating. My favorite restaurant is Red Robin, and Cafe Rio.

Travel

I love to travel to different places, my favorite place that I have been to was probably Las Vegas. I traveled there when I was younger, and I remember it being the coolest thing ever. I love to travel to St. George, because that’s where my dads side of the family lives, and my moms mom.

School

I’ve gone to a couple of schools through out my life because of moving. I went to Ellison in kindergarten, then I went to Heritage for part of first grade. Then we moved to St. George, and I went to George Washington Academy. Then we moved back here and I went to Ellison again for part of second grade. Then I went to Jefferson Academy for third through sixth grade. And now I am a ninth grader at Centennial Junior High.

Hobbies

One of my hobbies is soccer, I love to play it when ever I can. Me and My family will play it in the front yard for hours. I also love art, I love drawing, creating things with clay, really anything that has to do with creating something. I love to play sports, whether it’s volley ball in my back yard or basketball at my neighbors. Or even just throwing a football around.

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
